My business was founded on an idea that decorating your home should be affordable...
no matter what your budget. I also want to bridge the gap that exists in Interior
Design by bringing Interior Decorating to those that are intimidated by expensive
high-end design yet want more than a painting contractor in a white van can offer.
Tip of the month – Organizing leftover paint
Last month I was reminded about the importance of storing leftover paint. Often times you can avoid having to repaint and entire room if there is touch-up paint available. To ensure the quality of your paint I suggest storing the leftover quantity inside the house. Extreme temperatures found in your garage or attic will cause paint to separate and dry out quickly. When your paint breaks down in this manner it becomes unusable for touch-up. I also recommend transferring leftover paint to a smaller container.
This organization can be taken one step further by labeling cans with the room and date the paint was last used making it easier to identify. Creating a painted sample board for each color in your home will allow the paint store to color match additional paint if the original formula is lost. The sample boards can also be very handy when you take them with you on a shopping trip. Selecting colored accessories while shopping is a snap!
